WE’RE up against Wales this weekend and they’re a bit of an unknown quantity because you never know what’s going to turn up.

Last season they didn’t do so well and they were one of the teams that we beat but sometimes they have a few of the contracted players from Glamorgan in their side.

You really don’t know who you’re going to be playing against until the day so we’ve got to be prepared for every eventuality.

It should be a tough game but we don’t fear anyone.

I think that we’ve played pretty well in most of our games this season but we just haven’t got the results to match.

Our target has been to bat well in the first innings and the guys have pulled out all of the stops for that but now the second innings has fallen apart – that’s something that we have to work on.

There are two or three games where we should have gotten a draw at least or even a win and if that had happened, we’d be in a completely different position to the one we find ourselves in now.

Jayden Levitt has been struggling for form and he’s been told to go back and score some runs for his club (Bromsgrove) to get some confidence back. He was disappointed to be dropped but hopefully he can come back in form for the final game against Hertfordshire (on August 18-20).

Tom Morton comes back in to the team and bringing the vice-captain back should help take some of the pressure back off Joe Breet. Tom’s been playing well for his club (South Wilts) and can keep wicket as well as bat up the order.

It’s important to get those experienced played in the side.

There isn’t too much pressure on the guys. They know that it’s up to them to get rid of that complacency in the second innings and hopefully we’ve got a good chance of getting that win.
