TWELVE-year-old Charley Reed blasted a magnificent 149 not out as Corsham 4th romped to a 254-run success over Trowbridge A in Division Four.

The Somerset U12s youngster carried his bat in a maiden century that included 20 boundaries.

Peter Dennett scored 134 and James Walsh added an unbeaten 70 in Corsham’s massive 372-1.

Trowbridge subsided to 118 all out from 30.5 overs, Chris Dicker making 78.

Beanacre & Melksham 2nd had Ramsbury struggling at 31-3 off nine overs before they closed on 262-6, Jack Footner taking 3-41 and AJ Hobbs 3-66.

Youngsters Hobbs (51), Dan Carpenter (49) and Joe Veacock (32) helped the hosts to 195-9.

Division 1

TOM Bowler posted his second 100 in as many weeks as Purton pulled further clear at the top of Division One with a 189-run victory over Malmesbury.

The Wiltshire all-rounder smashed 167 not out, just seven days after plundering an unbeaten 152 off the Spye Park attack to set up the leaders’ 356-2 from their 45 overs.

With Akarshit Gomel hitting 132 in quick time, it left Malmesbury needing eight an over in reply. Gomel taking 4-38 as the visitors ended on 167-6.

Beanacre & Melksham racked up 235-4 against bottom side Spye Park, openers Mark Wiltshire (38) and Darren Perrin (14) starting well and Ben Brown (30) and Matt Hunt putting on 52 for the third wicket in 12 overs.

Hunt (66*) was then joined by Spye old boy Steve Rendell (60) to put on 110 for the fourth wicket.

Only Dave Beal (21) and Mike Duboulay (32) carried Spye’s attack and they were out for 157 in the 43rd over, with three wickets apiece for Rich Hemmings, Ben Brown and Dean Wallington.

Bradford on Avon posted a disappointing 150 against Urchfont, with Tony Laws making a standout 75.

Although Dean Bird picked up two wickets, Urchfont ran out the victors by seven wickets, Toby Dorgan scoring an unbeaten 56.

Shaz Khan’s half-century played a major role in Wootton Bassett’s eight-wicket victory over Hinton Charterhouse as they successfully pursued 177.

Bassett restricted their hosts to just 176-9 from their 45 overs before easing to their target with 14 overs to spare.

Division 2

BOX have a 56-point lead with just six games remaining after a 105-run win at Westinghouse.

Box were 36-3 before a 117-run partnership between Chris Bultitude (56) and Richard Foley (62). Extras totalling 35 added to a total of 206-9, Jordan Welsby with four wickets for the hosts.

The home side reached 83-3 off 30 overs, Styles (2-28) and Pegler (1-21) picking up the wickets, before collapsing to 101 all out, thanks to Foley’s 4-23, Dave Crawford's 2-3 and David Sanchez (1-16).

Ian Kiy took 3-27 as Collingbourne dismissed Wroughton Wranglers for 167 and Ian Smith then scored 52 to guide his side to a one-wicket victory.

Will Pascall took 6-35 to set up Corsham 3rd’s 76-run victory over their Warminster counterparts.

Corsham posted 207 all out, Jacob Unwin top scoring with 48 as Richard Ambler took 4-49.

Only Jason Stokes, with 33, offered much resistance in Warminster’s 131 all out.

Pete Burtwell took 7-24 to help Keevil dismiss Lacock for 143 in their clash, Nigel Curtis hitting 69. Keevil got home by two wickets.

Division 3

BEEHIVE eked out an eight-run win in their battle for second spot with All Cannings, Clive Warren hitting 46 and Neil Harber 40 in 199-9.

Second-placed Cannings fell just short as Gareth Lapham took 8-40, Andy Legg’s 67 and 45 from Richard Mansell not proving enough.

Swindon United Churches defeated Seagry by 80 runs as Jimmy Mann returned to form with 93.

A partnership of 86 with Chris Gilchrist (42) set up the hosts’ 205-6.

Alan Norman took 4-51 but Keith Coatsworth (27*) added a quickfire 60 for the sixth wicket with Mann.

Seagry’s Josh Hugo (51) dominated an opening stand of 56, but Alan Boivin (6-32) and Mann (2-22) ensured they collapsed from 56-0 to 94-8.

Chris Spackman (2-13) returned to claim the final two wickets as Seagry were out for 125 from 36.1 overs.

Division 6

IAIN Moore took 7-42 as Purton 2nd dismissed Potterne 4th for 68, David Allen’s unbeaten 45 guiding them to their target without loss.

Goatacre 3rd were six-wicket victors over Colling-bourne 2nd, who were dismissed for 119, Kieran Seal with 6-24 and Andrew Iles 2-18. Andrew Donegan’s unbeaten 58 helped Goatacre over the line.

Cherhill slipped off the top as they lost by three wickets against Biddestone 3rd.

Chris Bogg scored 55 in their 202 all out, Tom Sorsby taking 4-35. Graham Horn hit an unbeaten 82 to guide Biddestone home.

Sam Morshead hit 62 as White Horse (248-8) took over at the top courtesy of a 169-run victory over Highworth (79), Ian Sharpe taking 4-18.

Division 7

BOX 2nd’s 275-8 proved too much for Devizes 3rd to handle, Stephen Hall hitting an unbeaten 110 and Kevin Dolman 47, Tom Stoner the pick for Devizes with 3-52.

Dan Pettit’s 7-17 destroyed the reply, which ended on 73.

Andrew Percey picked up 3-6 to set up Marshfield 3rd’s 82-run win over their Westbury counterparts.

Mark Salen hit 75 not out as Simon Higgins took 3-44 in Marshfield’s 217-6. Despite 42 from Phil Mead and 37 from Sam Nitz, Westbury were all out for 135.

Returning to the Bratton ground where they had hit 285-1 against Westbury three weeks earlier, Winsley’s 3rd hit 252-4 against Boomsbury, thanks to an opening stand of 188 between Neil Gibson (123) and Ged Roddy (59).

In reply, Boomsbury lost four wickets to the pacy 16-year-old Ben Edwards (4-27), but 14-year-old Kyle Oakley hit 54. He found little support, however, and Boomsbury were all out for 121.

Batsmen prospered in the match between leaders Heytesbury & Sutton Veny 2nd and Burbage & Easton Royal 3rd.

Heytesbury scored 238-8, with Gav Pratt scoring 67, Aiden Davidson 42 and Rob Robson 40, Graham Milne taking 5-40. In reply Burbage fell agonisingly four runs short on 234 with Russ Buck (67) leading and Robson taking 4-51.

Division 8

NICK Crabbe hit 142 in Marlborough 3rd’s 200 all out as they finished one run shy of Beehive’s 201-8.

Chippenham were all out for 131 against leaders Goatacre 4th, Marc Starosolosky and Kyle Barnes each scoring 28 as Goatacre reached the target for the loss of four wickets.
