THE SPECTRE of relegation continutes to haunt Warminster after they slipped to a sixth successive defeat at Goatacre last weekend.
Tom Davie’s side batted first after winning the toss but failed to make any headway as they were put under pressure by Goatacre’s Giorgio Rigali, who took 3-19.
Richard Davie made 27 for Warminster, whilst Nathan Bond (15) and Rory Cullinan (14) also did their best to put runs on the board, but Kevin Iles and Hampshire pro Liam Dawson both took 2-9 as the visitors were skittled for just 109 in 26 overs.
Ollie Quelch took two wickets as did his best to hamper the Goatacre run chase but Jack Haines storming 51 off just 18 balls set the home side on their way to victory.
Liam Dawson, Brad Dawson and Joe Tillyer all chipped in with 17 as Goatacre eased to 110-2 in little over nine overs.
Warminster, who host Minehead tomorrow, are 57 points adrift at the bottom of the Premier Two table.
