TROWBRIDGE sprinter Danny Talbot claimed a superb silver medal in the 200m at the European U23 Championships in Finland today.
Talbot, 22, clocked a new personal best of 20.46 from lane eight to finish second behind Poland's Karol Zalewski (20.41), who had also finished ahead of him in last night's heats.
It was a major boost to Talbot's hopes of winning a place in the Great Britain team for next month's World Championships in Moscow, with the Wiltshire man also finishing ahead of compatriots Adam Gemili, who was fourth in 20.51, and David Bolarinwa (seventh in 20.85).
