CORSHAM are looking nervously over their shoulders after they suffered a four-wicket defeat at second-from-bottom Keyn-sham last weekend.
Robin D’Souza’s men find themselves just nine points ahead of the Somerset side in the Premier One Division table after suffering their sixth defeat of the season.
Corsham won the toss and batted but were put under the cosh by the Keynsham bowlers from the off, who took two early wickets to leave the away side at 43-2.
Adam Mitchell got the visitors’ highest score with 35 while opener Toby Davies made 33.
Skipper D’Souza (22) and Sam Collier (22*) both did their best to put runs on the board but their efforts were hampered as the hosts’ Matthew Taylor took 3-29.
Rich Wilton also helped himself to 3-30 as Corsham were all out for 162 midway through their penultimate over.
Russ Wakefield spearheaded the home side’s run chase with an unbeaten 68.
The visitors’ Tom Foley took 3-30 and Hasitha Da Silva claimed 2-24 did put Keynsham in a spin, with the hosts at 91-6.
But Wakefield was well-supported by Jack Weston (28*) as the home side eased to 164-6 in the 43rd over.
