RICHARD Mills took six wickets as Westbury notched up their fourth win in five matches last weekend.
Richard Oakley’s side ran out four-wicket winners at Painswick.
The hosts won the toss and chose to bat first, with Edward Bressington getting past the half-century mark with a knock of 52.
Dan Cave hit 32 whilst opener Adam Armistead made 30 but Westbury’s Mills piled on the pressure, taking his six-wicket haul for 42 runs. Oakley, Lydon Gibbons, Martin Dolman and Rob Penfold all also got in on the act as Painswick were skittled for 241 at the end of their innings.
Ben Whiting spearheaded the Westbury run chase, hitting an unbeaten 62 off 61 balls.
Gibbons weighed in with 35 whilst Mills, who had already starred with the ball, added 31.
The hosts’ Bressington took two wickets but Jared McDonald (21) and Rob Penfold (17) also chipped in as Oakley’s men reached 242-6 in the 48th over.
Westbury, who currently sit fourth in the Glos/Wilts Division, have the chance to close the gap on the title-chasing pack when they host third-placed Lechlade tomorrow.
Lechlade’s Asanka Vithanage took three wickets when the two sides met in the Cotswolds in May.
