WARMINSTER Town opened their pre-season campaign with a 5-1 victory over Pewsey Vale at Weymouth Street on Saturday.
Louis Sparey scored twice to put hosts Warminster, managed by new boss John Phillips, in control and Dan Fowler added a third before the break.
Tom Welch made it 4-0 before Jack Hopper reduced arrears from distance, but Nathan Glass added a fifth for the home side.
Vale host Wootton Bassett in a double-header friendly on Saturday, the reserves kicking off at 12.30pm and the first team at 3pm.
