Frome Town 2, Hallen 3

FROME recovered from two goals down only to lose in stoppage time against bogey team Hallen.

Boss Andy Crabtree accused his players of complacency after this defeat which leaves the Robins six points adrift of league leaders Corsham.

Frome travel to champions Bideford tomorrow before the visit of second place Bridgwater on Wednesday night and Crabtree has demanded an improvement from his players.

He said: "I don't think the attitude was right before the game or during the game against Hallen.

"If we've got any aspirations to do well we cannot concede three goals at home against a team that's been struggling to score.

"We were not ruthless enough and I left the ground feeling very disappointed with the team."

Crabtree believes his side played into Hallen's hands in the first half by pumping long balls at the heart of the visitors' defence.

The home side played some attractive football after the break and had chances to win the game, but their carelessness at the back proved to be their downfall.

Said Crabtree: "It's our own fault we lost. We didn't have enough quality in the first half.

"The lads showed character to come from two goals down and maybe we should have settled for a point.

"Having said that, anyone watching will tell you the game was there to be won.

"We outplayed Hallen in the second half but we got caught."

Hallen took a 16th minute lead when Kris Reubens bundled home Andy Cook's corner.

The visitors doubled their advantage two minutes into the second half when Mark Reynolds headed home Gary Powell's cross.

Mark Salter netted his 20th goal of the season and substitute Matt Cooper fired home to bring the Robins level.

But six minutes into stoppage time Tony Beacham beat the offside trap and drilled his shot past Ray Johnston in the Frome goal.
