HELLENIC LEAGUE CUP
Harrow Hill 0, Trowbridge Town 2
TROWBRIDGE underlined their enormous potential with victory over Premier Division outfit Harrow Hill in the Hellenic League Cup.
The Division One West leaders were given a rough ride early on, but the Bees' superior fitness and confidence on the ball showed in a one-sided second half.
Matt Minnis fired the visitors ahead after 15 minutes with a toe-poke finish from Booker Woodford's flick.
Trowbridge spent much of the second half camped in Harrow Hill territory before substitute Dave Percival settled the tie with a stunning 25-yard strike.
Manager Paul Shanley believes this victory proves Trowbridge are now ready to make the step up to the Premier Division.
He said: "I know Harrow Hill are struggling in the league this season but they've had some decent results lately.
"This win was so comfortable for us, it could have been five or six nil and nobody would have complained.
"I was delighted with the clean sheet - the defence did everything we asked of them and they all deserve praise."
Trowbridge visit Premier Division outfit Shrivenham in the next round.
