NICK Ridout has been told he is no longer welcome at Melksham Town after moving to Toolstation League Premier Division rivals Frome Town.
The versatile defender put pen to paper on a deal at Badgers Hill on Wednesday night, but not before a heated row with Conigre chairman Mick Perrin.
Ridout said he was disappointed to leave his home town club on bad terms.
He said: "Mick told me I was not welcome at the club any more. I suppose I could have gone to speak to him about the move sooner. Even so, I was disappointed with some of the things he said."
Perrin said he was annoyed Ridout did not make more of an effort to fight for his place at Melksham.
He said: "I told Nick a few home truths to be honest. I'm disappointed because Kelvin Highmore (manager) and I went out of our way to get this resolved, but Nick was not prepared to go down that avenue."
