ANGLING: SENSAS Bathampton chalked up their third win in a row in the South West Winter League match fished on the Avon from Frys to the Crane stretch.
Despite the river level dropping and the colour decreasing there were still some good weights taken.
Bathampton took team honours with 63 points, followed by Sensas Thyers with 59 and Avon Angling with 51.
Individual honours on the day went to Derek Coles, of Bristol AC, with a mixed catch of bream, skimmers, small chub and roach weighing 28lb 15oz, taken on the long pole, with three red maggots as hook bait.
Graham Hunt, of Sensas Bathampton A, was second with an all-roach catch weighing 20lb 2oz, taken on pole-fished casters.
He was followed by John Surman, of Bristol AC, with a mixed catch of bream, skimmers and roach weighing 18lb 9oz, taken on pole-fished red maggots.
Other placings: 4 Andy Ottaway, Sensas Bathampton A, 15lb 3oz; 5 Ray Cooper, Dynamite Baits, and Kevin Dicks, Sensas Bathampton A, 13lb 12oz.
