GOLF: England Golf have appointed Jamie Woodford, pictured above, as regional development officer for the South West, which includes Wiltshire.

Following his induction programme, which involves meeting county representatives and different bodies and organisations, he will be working with County Golf Partnerships and golf clubs, promoting EGU/ELGA schemes and initiatives. He said: "I am looking forward to working with golf clubs and counties within the South West and hope to provide support and guidance whilst also delivering the aims and objectives of the national plan."
