THE top two sides in Division Two go head-to-head on Sunday when Rowde entertain AFC Calne.

Rowde will be hoping to get off to a better start than last week when they gave visitors The Ship a three goal advantage before claiming a point in a dramatic finale.

AFC Calne came through a tough test themselves with a narrow 1-0 win last time out but it was enough to keep them at the top of the table.

At the other end of the division, but equally as important, 11th placed Fascia Graphics take on basement side White Horse at Meriton Avenue knowing that a home defeat would be enough for the visitors to go above them in the table.

Sandwiched between these two sides, Horse and Groom welcome high-flyers Biddestone Arms to Leighton and will be hoping that Rich Hunt's rich vein of form continues. The midfielder has popped up with goals in his last two games, one a well-positioned free kick, the other a bullet header.

Third-placed British Lion OC make the journey to Sutton Benger who are still looking for their first win of the season. Despite this they have remained fairly tight in defence and are the division's draw specialists.

Southwick Sports will be looking to get back to winning ways after the defeat at the hands of the leaders last week, but they will have to overcome the in-form Crown Devizes who cracked in five goals without reply last week.

Gareth Evans of the Pig and Whistle will be hoping he can repeat his hat-trick of last Sunday when his side plays FC Bradford at Awdry Avenue.

The Bradford side will be looking to get back into some sort of form following a run of disappointing results.

Premier Division

FOR the second week running Trowbridge Harriers find themselves playing the team two places above them in the dog-fight at the bottom of the table.

Their opponents this week are Maud Heath Sports, who recorded their best result of the season last week against Bradford News and they will be optimistic that they can keep the run going. Harriers have recently strengthened their squad and if they can keep it tight at the back their forwards are more than capable of finding the net.

Once again Westbury Rangers A find themselves against opposition from the top end of the division as this time they make the trip to Biddestone Social, who will be reeling from a shock home defeat last week. Despite a brace from Dan Lardner they still found Spencer Sports too good and went down 5-3. Similarly, Rangers went down by the odd goal in seven against Winsley, who went top with the win.

The only other top flight game pits Bradford News against Sherston Town who both suffered big defeats in their matches of last weekend. Both sides have already been witness to the ups and downs of football fortunes and will welcome two points this week.

Division One

FC COLERNE return to action after a week off but will not be relishing the trip to Atworth who have signed a few new players and go into this fixture full of confidence following back-to-back wins.

Leaders North Bradley host a potentially physical encounter with Kingfisher who have been quietly climbing up the league and are now fifth. Marcus Young and Paul Maddox found the net six times between them last week and will be hoping to inflict similar pain on the pacesetters.

North Star A are hot on the heels of Bradley and will hope that they can capitalise on any mistakes made by the leaders as they take on Chippenham Police, who are still looking for their first win of the season.

Hullavington will be keen to halt their freefall down the league and get some kind of result from their game with high-flying Semington Rovers. Last week Semington came from behind to win at Potterne and will be grateful if striker Stuart Barber is still in goal scoring form.

Any kind of goal will be welcomed by Chippenham Sports and Social. They travel to Potterne, who will be looking to bury the memory of last week's home defeat.

The midtable battle between Foresters and Christian Malford could go either way as both sides search for some consistency. Neither will want to drop any further down the league.

Division Three

IF you take leaders The Southgate Inn out of the equation, Division Three is the tightest division of all, with only six points separating second and bottom places.

With Southgate on Wilts Sunday Cup duty the other teams all have the chance to grab the limelight.

Second placed Cooper-Avon travel to fourth placed Blue Circle (Sunday) in the fixture of the day. They are level on points so something may well give in this game between the cement men and the tyremen.

An interesting fixture is the one involving the bottom two sides, Chippenham ROAB and White Hart Combe. With only one win between them two points for either side could see them move up the table and would be a most welcome addition to their tally.

Last Sunday Sir Audley's Arms and Wheatsheaf played a close first half against each other, with the Knights eventually running out 7-2 winners in the second half. This week they will square up again, this time at the Wheatsheaf's ground where the home side will be looking for revenge.

Biddestone White Horse entertain third placed AFC Pilot who will be full of confidence after their victory over Blue Circle last week. The villagers had a good win as well so honours could be even here.

Corsham Park Rangers take on Westbury Rangers B with both teams looking to get back on the winning trail in the league, while Somerford will want to start where they left off last week and continue their Team of the Week' winning form away at Pack Horse Rangers.

Division Four

SECOND placed AFC Bell travel to Old Road Tavern knowing that any slip-ups from leaders Little George and, provided they can get a result, they could be top by Sunday night.

The Tavern side will also be keen to make an impression as they search for their second win of the campaign.

Undefeated Little George will be hard pressed by the improving North Star B in their game at Yatton Keynell. The Calne side have improved over the weeks and are now up to fifth.

Similarly, Bromham (Sunday) have come from nowhere to fourth place and look a real threat to the teams above them. Their young squad are scoring for fun and this could well be a tough test for Chippenham West End.

Corsham United will face a Wanderers side that kick-started their good run earlier in the season in the home game between the two sides. Corsham will be looking over their shoulders if they should lose this one.

Bottom of the table The Rising Sun are the only side without a win so far this term and visitors The Crown FC have not been in charitable form lately so unfortunately it is unlikely to come this week.
