SKATEBOARDERS could soon have long-awaited state-of-the art new facilities in Trowbridge.
A planning application for nine ramps and other structures in Stallards Park has been submitted to West Wiltshire District Council.
People living nearby have objected to the plans fearing increased, crime, noise and litter but skaters in the town have vowed not to cause disruption or trouble.
Trowbridge Town Council had previously submitted a planning application for the facility a year ago but the proposal was stalled while the district council carried out a recreational needs survey across west Wiltshire.
