CHIPPENHAM Town were held to a goal-less draw by local rivals Mangotsfield in a dire game Southern League Premier Division match at Hardenhuish Park.
The Bluebirds had to wait 65 minutes for their first strike on goal, a clumsy free kick from Kye Holly which ballooned over the crossbar.
Mangotsfield came closest to breaking the deadlock when winger Chris Lane cut inside and hit the base of the post with a low drive.
Dave Gilroy spurned Chippenham's best chance when he was denied by Mangotsfield stopper William Puddy.
A chorus of boos greeted the substitution of striker Alan Griffin, who was named man-of-the-match for his tireless display up front.
