FOUR people were taken to hospital following a crash just outside Melksham on Friday night.
Police and fire crews were called to the Redstocks turning on the A365 Melksham to Devizes road at 10.20pm.
Two cars had collided leaving two men and two women injured.
The men were released by firefighters but the women had to be freed from the cars using hydraulic cutting equipment.
One woman was taken to hospital by the Wiltshire Air Ambulance while the other three were taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Fire crews from Melksham and Trowbridge attended.
