NORTH Wiltshire District Council has agreed to help fund a number of community projects in the Chippenham area.
More than £15,000 has been awarded after community groups and town and parish councils submitted applications for funding.
Chippenham Town Council has been awarded £4,385 to install a youth shelter in Pewsham Park.
Chippenham Highlights Theatre Company has been awarded £3,466 to buy and install a workshop and storage facility for theatrical costumes and scenery after it was forced to quit its old premises.
CLOGS Theatre Company has been awarded £1,750 towards the production of The Merry Widow and Chippenham Without Parish Council has been awarded in principle £5,000 towards the restoration of Drakes Pond.
Kington St Michael Parish Plan Committee has been awarded £500 towards producing a parish plan for the village.
