IT is with great pleasure that I can pass on the good news that the Waterloo to Bristol service (calling at Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge and Westbury) has been saved.
Many readers may already have heard this, but for those who have not, I felt I had to write.
As an individual, possibly speaking on behalf of many people living in Trowbridge and district, we must thank the hard work of the railway campaigners, with a special thank you to the West Wiltshire Rail Users Group. Their continuing efforts have proved very very worthwhile. Also a special word of thanks to our MP, Dr Andrew Murrison, who has worked tirelessly in communicating with the Department of Transport on our behalf. All concerned need a pat on the back - well done.
M WALKER, Trowbridge
