A GROUP of Year 10 students organised a trip to New York when they experienced life as travel agents.
Over two days on October 12 and 13 the main hall at the George Ward School in Melksham was transformed into 20 travel agency companies, all trying to arrange a visit to the Big Apple for 32 students and four staff.
Organised by NatWest Bank, the event was designed to help pupils improve their planning and business skills.
The companies had a budget of £22,000 to plan a three-day itinerary, sorting out flights, transfers, accommodation, meals and an itinerary of places to visit.
Each company then had to give a three-minute presentation to win the contract.
