A BEAUTY therapist from Westbury is organising a dinner dance to raise money for Victim Support.
Laura Lee, 31, of Meadow Close, is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for the charity through a Valentine's ball at the Civic Hall, Trowbridge, on February 16.
A chocolate fountain, balloon artist, magician and portrait photographer will feature at the event. Mrs Lee, who works at Hair Like Silk on the Leigh Park estate, is now writing to local businesses asking them to donate prizes for a raffle and auction.
She said: "I want to highlight the cause as I think it is a relatively unknown charity. They are all volunteers and I know they provide a valuable service."
Victim Support helps victims of crime and their families, offering practical help, counselling and a friendship service Mrs Lee is hoping to sell around 250 tickets, which can be bought from the Tourist Information Centre in Trowbridge, Hair Like Silk salons in Westbury or Silver Street, Bradford on Avon or by calling 07894 233844.
