A CRASH left two women needing hospital treatment and a road closed for four hours on Sunday evening.

The accident on the B3107 between Holt and Melksham at about 8pm involved a silver Land Rover Discovery and a Volkswagen Polo.

The drivers, both local women were taken to Royal United Hospital, Bath.

And two men had to be taken to hospital on Thursday afternoon after a collision on the A350, at its junction with Church Road, Heywood.

The collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Mercedes at about 1.15pm closed the road, as fire crews were called to cut a driver free.
