The picture on the right shows a three-year-old David Mayo, first left, and his late brother Ted, then four, at the Trowbridge Carnival in 1937.
They were on a float - a pony and cart - owned by A Davis, the greengrocers who traded in Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon and Westbury. The procession was travelling along Bradford Road when the photo was taken.
Mr Mayo says he still has the buttons from the outfit he wore on the day, although he can't remember much about the event and is not sure who the man in the hat is.
