CHIPPENHAM Town exploded into life in extra-time to finally beat Hillingdon Borough 3-0 in their FA Trophy first round replay last night.
The Bluebirds looked nervous for 90 minutes until substitute Alan Griffin turned the game on its head.
Griffin's deflected strike from the edge of the area put the home side in front and sparked an avalanche of extra time pressure. Ross Adams headed home an Ian Herring corner to put the game beyond the visitors after 107 minutes and Sam Allison gave the scoreline a flattering edge with a neat left-foot finish before the final whistle Chippenham will play Didcot Town in the next round at Hardenhuish Park on November 4.
