A SCOOTER rider had a lucky escape on Monday after being involved in a collision with a four-by-four.
The man was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath after the accident, which happened just after 5pm at the junction of Chantry Gardens and Frome Road in Southwick.
The man, who has not been named, had abdominal pains and bruising but was found not to be seriously injured.
The driver of the blue Mitsubishi involved in the accident was not hurt.
The road remained open and the scene was cleared by emergency services by 5.45pm.
