Charlotte Moore, 14, also met Maj Gen Sebastian Roberts, who is commanding the Household Division, at a graduation ceremony in Windsor Great Park.
Charlotte, a pupil at Bearwood College, Wokingham, was on a 10-week attachment with the Combined Cadet Force, when she received tuition from masters who train the Household Cavalry. Charlotte, who wants to a vet, said: "The test at the end involved a full display of ceremonial riding - a single mistake would have caused chaos with the horses cantering so closely together.
Charlotte's mother Karen, who lives in Were Close, said she was proud of her daughter's achievements.
