LEADERS Melksham Park B came away from FC Chippenham with all three points after a well contested top-of-the-table clash in the Under Nines Yellow Division.
With goalkeeper Tom Mitchell in the first half and Tod Davis in the second keeping Chippenham out with some excellent saves, Melksham took a 2-0 lead at half-time with two long range efforts by Joe McNally.
The second half started brightly for Melksham with some good build up play by Tom Keen giving Sam Lawn the chance to drill home the third goal.
Chippenham then started to exert some pressure, with a well taken goal by their striker Luke Harold and then Finlay Gilmore scoring with an excellent long range shot soon after to set up a gripping finale.
With a well contested midfield battle between Oliver Elms and Chippenham's midfield duo and some cool defending by Luke McNally and Daniel Bence, Melksham held on to come away with a 3-2 win.
