PAUL Milsom says Chippenham can expect a rough ride tomorrow when they visit his former club Tiverton Town.

Milsom spent two seasons at Ladysmead before switching to Hardenhuish Park this summer and knows to expect no favours from his old team-mates.

He said: "Chippenham versus Tiverton always seems to be a fiery encounter and I don't expect this game will be anything different.

"It's always nice to go back to a former club but there won't be any friends out there once the game has kicked off.

"Tiverton have had a few injury problems this year but they've had some decent results too. I know they will be up for this one so we have to match them for effort."

Milsom was signed by Darren Perrin as a centre forward but the former Bristol City man has played just as many minutes in defence so far this season.

The introduction of Martin Paul has seen Milsom slip even further down the forwards' pecking order, though he insists he is just happy to be playing.

"With Birdy (Paul) coming back there's obviously lots of competition for places up front, but there's not much cover in central defence.

"I'm happy to play wherever the manager asks and if that's at centre back against Tiverton it will be fine by me."

Milsom believes his knowledge of the Tiverton squad could give him the advantage when the sides clash tomorrow.

Manager Darren Perrin has yet to reveal his hand for the match, but Milsom is preparing as though his name is first on the team sheet.

"Tiverton have brought in three or four new players this season but the majority of the squad is the same.

"I know all their strengths and weaknesses but they also know mine. If i do get to play it will be an interesting tussle."

Midfielder Mark Badman should return to action but goalkeeper Steve Perrin remains an injury doubt. Kye Holly serves the first of a two-match ban.
