STONEHENGE will be visited by a hi-tech airship on Tuesday as the competition mounts to find the seven wonders of the modern world.

The landmark is one of 21 monuments across the world shortlisted by the New7Wonders campaign and the winners will be announced in July next year.

The airship is visiting all the nominated places - Stonehenge is the seventh to be visited.

Other nominated sites include the Eiffel Tower, The Great Wall of China, Sydney Opera House and The Taj Mahal.

About 50 robed druids will perform a ceremony around the monument to mark the visit.

The campaign has already received about 20 million votes from around the world. To add your vote visit www.new7wonders.com
