WE would be very interested to know if we are the only residents in the Holbrook Park area of Trowbridge to be fed up to the back teeth of the dreadful racket that emanates from the car park in McDonalds on Bradley Road, Trowbridge.

Every night, gangs of youths congregate there in their souped-up cars and motorbikes and loiter, swear, play loud music and rev up their extra-loud exhausts and perform stunts in the car park. They then turn left and proceed to go around the roundabout driving as fast as they possibly can.

We have liaised with the police, the anti-social behaviour department at the council, McDonalds and written to our local MP. Some measures, eg. speed bumps and barriers and CCTV cameras have been installed, but have not made much difference.

We do realise that there are no facilities for youngsters in Trowbridge eg, cinema, bowling alley, leisure centres, but it is really unfair to subject the residents of this area to years of noise nuisance.

How much longer do we have to have our windows permanently shut to avoid hearing this unpleasant cacophony?
