PLASTIC bags got a new lease of life on Saturday as Matravers School, in Westbury, hosted its second Big Draw Day.

Artists Jeff and Karen Pigott, from artspark, in Bradford on Avon, helped visitors cut up, iron and sew the bags to make a large hanging while other activities included mask making and drawing.

Some of the artwork took place outside in High Street while others gathered in All Saints Church where the old and young captured the beautiful building on paper.

The Big Draw is a national campaign to encourage more people to enjoy art.
