A DARING dad gritted his teeth and braved a full body wax for the sake of his little boy.

Keith Holbrook, 40, of Green Lane, Trowbridge, was inspired to raise money for the National Deaf Children's Society by his 13-month-old son, who has a hearing deficiency.

He was waxed in a gazebo set up outside ASDA in Trowbridge on Saturday, raising about £300.

He said: "I'm more built for comfort so sponsored walks or ride were out of the question. I thought a full body wax was something I could do.

"My son has had to wear a hearing aid since he was nine weeks old and the charity has been great."

The wax was carried out by staff from You Beauty in Fore Street, and raffle prizes were donated by firms from around the area including Center Parcs, Fieldways Hotel and Spa in Hilperton Road, Trowbridge, and ASDA.
