PHOTOGRAPHER Jon Durrant has been busy taking pictures of Bradford on Avon scenes and rare breeds of animals to produce two different calendars.

After the success of the Bradford on Avon calendar last year he has produced another one for 2007 featuring stunning views of the town.

This year his partner Alison Abbott, who is vice-chairman of the Wiltshire Support Group of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, asked him to help the charity launch its own calendar.

Mr Durrant said: "One of my favourite pictures in the Bradford calendar is the February photograph which is down on the river Avon, taken during some big frosts.

"As well as taking these pictures Alison managed to persuade me to go off and take lot of pictures of rare breeds."

Included in the RBST calendar are rare breeds like North Ronaldsay sheep, an Exmoor pony and White Park cattle.

Mrs Abbott said: "We're trying to raise awareness and a bit of money for RBST. We're extremely pleased with it. My own pony features on the front cover and she very much enjoyed posing for the camera."

The calendars are available for £6 at Quire, Silver Street. The Bradford one is also at the TIC and The Banks Newsagent, in The Shambles.
