THE jewel in the crown of English football came to Trowbridge yesterday.

The Barclays Premiership Trophy, held by Chelsea, was at Virgin Mobile's headquarters at the White Horse Business Park.

Staff at the firm, which employs more than 1,000 people, were able to pose for snaps with the trophy and make a donation to the Royal United Hospital's Forever Friends Appeal.

The trophy is on a whistlestop tour of the country.
