A Corsham man was seriously injured following a collision with another car on Westwells Road, Corsham, at 5.50pm yesterday.
A Mazda MX 5 and a Ford Mondeo were involved in the incident near the post office.
The 65-year-old male Mazda driver needed to be cut from his vehicle by firefighters and he was airlifted to Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital suffering from suspected broken ribs and cuts to his head and knees.
The three Mondeo passengers all suffered minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
The Mondeo’s 64-year-old male driver from Devon suffered from mild concussion, a 64-year-old female front passenger, also from Devon, suffered from shock and a rear passenger a 66-year-old local woman suffered from whiplash.
