A total of 20 crimes were reported to the police by staff at north and west Wiltshire’s community hospitals in the past three years, figures released this week show.

Figures published by Great Western NHS Trust, which has responsibility for the hospitals in the area, show seven of those crimes were reported at Chippenham Community Hospital.

There were five thefts, one criminal damage and an attempted burglary.

Savernake Hospital recorded four crimes, Melksham had three and there were two reported at each of Devizes, Westbury and Trowbridge.
