A VOLUNTEER steward at Trowbridge Carnival had their toes run over by a car at the end of the event.
The steward was taken to Trowbridge Hospital with bruising after a silver Vauxhall Corsa, which was not part of the parade, was driven erratically close to the Canal Road and Seymour Road junction shortly after 8.45pm.
PC Jade Coupland said: “Overall the evening went very smoothly with few incidents despite the large number of people involved.”
Anyone with information about the car is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.
Police ran a Staysafe Operation during the evening in partnership with Wiltshire Council, with 12 youngsters aged 11to15 spoken to by officers. They were given safety advice and helped to make plans for getting home.
A six-year-old and 12-year-old were found in the park after becoming separated from an older sibling. They were taken to the Youth Development Centre in Court Mills to be reunited with their parents.
Two 15-year-old girls also made their way to Court Mills after being chased by a group of youths.
