AS November 5 falls on a Saturday this year, organisers of the many bonfire and fireworks displays which are being organised around the county are expecting even larger crowds than usual.
Tickets are on sale now for evenings which include bonfire and fireworks, and some displays which will simply have dazzling light shows without a bonfire to warm yourself at.
For the very young there is at least one quieter family display, and most of the events feature traditional refreshments, such as toffee apples, alongside barbecues serving up hot dogs and burgers.
See our guide below to some of the events taking place this weekend.
l BRADFORD ON AVON: Bonfire night fun at The Beehive field, Trowbridge Road, from 5.30pm on Saturday, November 5. During the evening there will be a bonfire, live music, a hog roast and a fireworks display which starts at 7pm. Entry costs £5 for adults and £3 for children with funds being raised for Christ Church, Fitzmaurice and St Laurence schools.
l COLERNE: A bonfire will be lit on Manor Field, in Eastrip Lane, Colerne, at 6pm on Saturday, November 5. The night will include a guy competition, bonfire, barbecue and fireworks display. Admission costs £5 for adults and £2 for children aged between three and 13.
l ATWORTH: A quiet family bonfire night is being held at Neston Farm Park Shop between 5.45-7.30pm on Saturday, November 5. The event, especially for children under six, will have a firework display and barbeque.
Owner of the farm shop Lady Venetia Fuller said: “We realise there are lots of local children who are too young to fully enjoy the large crowds and the loud bangs of big bonfire night displays. So we will have a beautiful but quieter fireworks and a bonfire in the field next to the shop. Our visitors will be able to enjoy the display from the safety of the grounds.”
The bonfire will be lit at 6pm with the fireworks display beginning at 6.15pm. Adult admission is £5, while children’s entrance costs £3. For more information, call Neston Park Farm Shop on 01225 700881.

The hall will be hosting a fundraising coffee morning from 10am until noon, with a cake stall, bring and buy, Christmas presents to buy and a raffle.
