Veterans from the Trowbridge branch of the Royal Air Force Association took to the streets this weekend to raise the profile of the work the group does.
The group ran a stall on Fore Street on Saturday and took the opportunity to collect for the RAFA Wings Appeal, which raises £2m every year to provide welfare support to former and serving RAF officials.
Trowbridge mayor Nick Blakemore and town crier Trevor Heeks paid a visit to the stand.
Branch chairman Peter Ford said: “There was quite a lot of interest from passersby. People were generous with their donations and a couple of people said they were interested in joining. The RAFA has a simple mission – to ensure the sacrifice made by RAF personnel and their families does not result in poverty, loneliness and suffering.”
