Public transport is the theme of the Melksham Area Board meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting, at Seend Community Centre, will hear about potential improvements to the train service at Melksham from the Trans Wilts Rail Partnership, and a discussion on more parking at the station.
There will also be a report about the Seend Shuttle community transport scheme. The board hopes people from other villages will come along to find out about how the service works and how to set up a similar scheme.
Cllr Richard Gamble, the Wiltshire Council portfolio holder for public transport, will be on hand to answer questions. Melksham Community Area Partnership will be consulting on the transport section of the community plan from 6.30pm before the main meeting starts at 7pm. Councillors will also consider applications for funding from the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust and from the Golden Fleece Cricket Club.
