An inrense 10-week period of consultation on Corsham’s campus project has started with the setting up of a working party to assess progress.
Corsham Town Council formed the group during Monday evening’s town council meeting.
Four councillors expressed an interest in being part of the group, which will meet regularly with the shadow campus operations board, which has been overseeing the project.
The new campus, in Beechfield Road, will be home to a library, a youth centre and a community hall.
Councillors Chris Riley, Ruth Hopkinson, Mervyn Jackson and Elaine Marston will form the group with Michael Simpkins.
Cllr Allan Bosley, the chairman of Corsham Campus Operations Board, said: “We are about to enter an intense 10-week process for the campus, with meetings three or four times a week.”
Cllr Bosley said there would be two periods of public consultation over the coming weeks.
