I recently completed a fundraising cycle ride from John o’Groats to Land’s End, in memory of my late father, Norman White, who lived most of his life in Whitley, Melksham. It was an amazing experience – I averaged 110 miles a day for nine days, as part of the annual Deloitte Ride Across Britain.
Thanks to the great generosity of many people, I have raised £2,290 for Dorothy House, who cared for and supported Dad during his illness. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who contributed – all my family, friends, my Dad’s fellow bowlers and bridge partners, and finally my colleagues. Dorothy House and I are very grateful for your support.
Andy White, Brislington, Bristol.
