First-time author Colin Brook popped into Waterstone’s in Trow- bridge on Saturday to sign copies of his book The Almeti Agenda.

Mr Brook, who is the landlord of The Old Bank Inn in Keynsham High Street, held the signing session in The Shires store.

His novel is about the aftermath of the 7/7 terrorist attacks and its effect on peoples’ lives.

He said: “It was an interesting experience as it was my first-ever time doing a signing session.

“It gave me a great opportunity to have a few discussions with visitors.

“I feel that my career as a landlord really helped me deal with the meet-and-greet aspect. I think that really comforts the visitor and then you can get involved in good discussions.”

Mr Brook will be having his second signing session on Saturday in Waterstone’s Chippenham store in Borough Parade from 11am to 3pm.
