Cumberwell Park is hosting its fifth annual Lillia Calthrop Charity Golf Day on September 9.

In the four previous times the event has been held it has raised in excess of £17,000 for the Lillia Calthrop Tribute Fund which distributes funds raised to Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The event, which starts at 11am, is being organised by Gavin and Claire Calthrop whose daughter, Lillia, died in March 2007, aged three weeks old. Lillia was born with a rare incurable lung disorder called Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia and after her death her parents set-up the tribute fund.

Mr Calthrop said: “We want everyone to have a really enjoyable day competing on the course for some great prizes. We hope the fact that people will also be helping us to remember Lillia and raise money for the organisations that cared for her in the final week of her short beautiful life will add special meaning to your participation.”

Participants can enter as part of a team or individually with entry costing £60 per person and there will be a meal served at around 7pm. Visit www.wiltshire airambulance.co.uk/images/events/Lillia-Calthrop-Golf-Day.pdf.
