A MAN accused of having a machete on a Trowbridge street is to face trial by jury.
Tyrone Triggs is accused of having the large knife on Lambrok Road on Tuesday, April 26. The 30-year-old also denied assaulting a woman on the same day when he appeared at Swindon crown court on Friday.
Triggs, of Talbot Road, Trowbridge, pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon and common assault.
He admitted charges of affray and criminal damage to a car.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Monday, October 17 and released Triggs on unconditional bail.
