SELWYN Widger fired his second hat-trick in succession as West Wilts consolidated third place in Davis Wood League Premier Division Three.
Wilts, who had thumped Marlborough 4-0 the previous week, still had memories of their 5-5 draw with Plymouth Grammar School Old Boys from earlier in the season, but soared into a first-half lead despite a strong start from their visitors.
The deadlock was broken when a short corner strike was illegally stopped on the line and Widger tucked away the penalty flick.
Wilts stepped up through the gears, Matt Kenyon’s pace causing panic in the defence, who turned in his crossshot into their own net.
A strong run from Colin Webb and interplay with Shahair Aissaoui set up Widger’s second before PGSOB reduced the deficit.
Wilts were frustrated for much of the second half, but a quickly-taken free hit set up another simple strike for Widger to complete his treble.
