WEST Wilts are through to the next round of the Men’s 2nd Trophy after a dramatic victory in Exeter, in which they equalised no less than five times.
Trailing to the hosts’ opener, Pete Stacey levelled for the visitors and Gav Cleverley did likewise after East Devon had taken the lead again.
Leo Singh-Baker’s heroics in saving an initial shot, couldn’t prevent the hosts adding a third before half time, but Adam Molloy tapped home a third equaliser after it.
Despite being reduced to nine men at one point, Wilts continued to battle and Molloy and Dave King both levelled again after further East Devon goals and goalkeeper Singh-Baker was the hero in the penalty flicks competition.
