CHIPPENHAM were edged out by their top-of-the-table opponents, despite starting strongly.
Nan Roberts narrow missed early on, but Chippenham continued to play well with Sian Perham driving up the right and passing an excellent ball to Sabina Falcone, whose shot was saved by the ISCA goalkeeper.
ISCA showed their strength, turning defence into attack with Fiona Wanliss clearing off the line.
It was Chippenham who broke the deadlock as Sue Doel calmly slotted home a short corner for a half-time lead Isca won a succession of short corners after the break and, despite solid defending especially from Jane Smedley who cleared one shot off the line, they finally got the equaliser.
Chippenham fought hard, but ISCA held firm and kept home goalkeeper Alexis Taylor busy before grabbing the lead to secure the points.
