A CYCLIST was taken to hospital this morning after a collision with a car in Chippenham.
The accident happened shortly before 9.30am, involving a pink coloured Suzuki Alto, which was travelling from Hardens Mead towards Chippenham town centre, and a pedal cyclist travelling towards Pewsham.
The collision happened at the Hardens Mead junction and the road was closed for around four hours with traffic diverted around the town.
The cyclist was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath with leg and pelvic injuries and the driver of the Suzuki was unhurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident who have not already contacted police.
