A 27-YEAR-OLD man was left with serious injuries to his face after being attacked by a bottle-wielding thug in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The victim was walking home with his girlfriend when he was attacked by two men in Park Lane, at the junction with Park Fields, Chippenham.
Two men, who were dragging a wheelie bin down the road, stopped to speak to the couple about 12.45am.
One ran off while the other one used a broken bottle to attack the victim, stabbing him in the face.
The victim was treated at hospital for serious facial injuries and a broken foot.
Police said the attack was unprovoked.
The attacker is described as white, six-foot tall, about 18-20 years old with a stocky to chubby build, spiky dark hair, a prominent nose and a round face.
