PREMIER Division Trowbridge Harriers, who were in danger of pulling out of the league with just five games remaining, have committed themselves to seeing out the remainder of the season.
Their decision keeps alive both the battle for the title and the fight to avoid relegation.
Champions-elect Corsham Centre, the new Wiltshire Sunday Cup holders, cannot now win the title this weekend, even if, as expected, they beat local rivals Corsham Cricket Club at Leafy Lane.
Dog and Fox Ashley, who have been struggling for much of the season, have appointed Clive Bancroft as their new manager and have given him the job of building a team for next season. His appointment ends the threat of the Dog and Fox folding at the end of the current season, as many people thought was going to happen.
Sherston Town are another team who have been at the wrong end of the table for most of the season, and there is a possibility that this could be their last season. Only two years ago Sherston completed a league and knockout cup double and looked like being a formidable team for years to come.
